Repayment Planning

How Much Do I Repay?

Full Repayment Full repayment is required even if you do not complete your program of study, do not obtain employment upon completion of your degree, or are otherwise dissatisfied with the education or other services received from your school.
Your Monthly Payment

The amount you have to pay on your student loans each month depends on the type of loan you have, the amount you owe, and the repayment or refinancing plan you choose.

The repayment schedule you receive during the grace period will indicate the initial minimum amount you have to pay each month using the standard or equal repayment plan.

You may have repayment options that can change the repayment term. See Repayment Options.

Variable Interest Rates
If the interest rate on your loan is variable, the payment amount is evaluated whenever the index that your interest rate is based on changes. The payment amount may change to ensure that your loan is paid off within the loan term allowed.
Minimum Payments
Many loan programs do require a minimum monthly payment. For example, the minimum monthly payment for the Federal Stafford Loan program is $50.
