Communications Operations Manager - Technical
Successful candidates will possess:
College graduate with bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, or related field.
5 - 7 years of proven communications experience. Some experience in the student lending industry or operational communications desirable.
Must be able to prioritize, manage, and accomplish a variety of projects and tasks in a busy environment.
Must be able to adapt to frequently changing priorities and maintain momentum despite competing priorities and timelines.
Must be a "self-starter" and work with minimal direction on assigned tasks and responsibilities.
Ability to effectively communicate with senior staff, colleagues, and other staff orally and in writing.
Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles, ranging from Board communications and customer correspondence to informal employee communications
Adept at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external contacts.
Ability to build appropriate level of rapport at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with internal and external resources.
Adept at using computer office management tools such as word processing, electronic mail, and electronic scheduling, as integral part of day-to-day activity.

Responsibilities:
Works with Legal, Finance, Compliance, Marketing, and project teams to capture changes in loan program terms and policies in applications, promissory notes, consumer materials, school certification instructions, private loan amendments, and application-related forms.
Working in conjunction with Legal and Finance groups, leads development of APR examples.
Leads review and approval process relative to operational and other communications.
Oversees annual update of Reference Guide, working with subject matter experts from other departments to accurately reflect updates, new loan products, terms, and policies, etc.
Ensures consistency across old and new versions.
Serves as a proactive resource to SSS, CCC, Originations, Legal, and Compliance to define appropriate procedures and develop message content for systems-based communications (fulfillment, adverse action, borrower instruction, cancellation, collections, and loan processing letters; and system-generated error messages), as well as ad hoc customer service responses.
Maintains records of company-wide, "life of the loan" operational communications.
Seeks opportunities to help departments and project leaders communicate effectively about policies and procedures.
Serves as communications department subject matter expert on servicing issues, policies, and procedures.
Tracks servicing-related issues that may require communication with borrower or school customers.
Serves as a resource to Servicing to develop written procedures and message content for systems-based servicing correspondence, ad hoc customer communications, presentations to stakeholders, etc.
Provides guidance on and approval of major servicing publications such as the federal and private loan servicing guidelines and the loan servicers' repayment booklets.
Establishes and builds trust and confidence with peers, management, and other key stakeholders.
Effectively manages key peer and business relationships so that problems are resolved and day-to-day working relationships are cultivated and maintained.
Provides writing expertise to teams. On team projects, writers are often the key component in launching the efforts of the entire team, since they blend the ideas of many and put forth a result that reflects multiple input.
Performs commercialization activities in support of product launches and other activities with communication needs.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as needed.

Director - Program Management
Successful candidates will possess:
- Bachelors degree, preferably in a technical or business field. Advanced degree and Project Management certification preferred.
- Minimum 10-12 years experience in project management that includes 6-8 years of project portfolios and successful management of large enterprise-wide projects with components in information system, organization development, and business process reengineering.
- Strong organization skills.
- Proven ability to turn strategic goals and objectives into actionable initiatives and projects.
- Adept at project management related analysis methodology such as project planning and scheduling, resource identification and allocation, project budgeting and cost analysis, project monitoring and reporting, etc.
- Adept at Project team leadership and coordination. Able to build highly effective project teams, and establish effective relationships with impacted departments and functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provides the strategic direction for the Project Management team.
- Manages the development, improvement, and dissemination of project portfolio and project management processes, tools, templates, and guidelines to the rest of the organization.
- Directs and supervises all enterprise initiatives for the purpose of reporting, communication, issue & risk mitigation, and adherence to the Project Execution Framework.
- Manages project portfolios and projects directly.
- Manages initiatives through the concept phase.
- Develop and refine approaches, processes, methods, and tools required to fulfill the responsibilities of the Project Management team.
- Recruit, hire, retain and develops project management professionals.
- Acts as central custodian and disseminator of project related information. Generates needed project status/information reports, and acts as focal point for project related questions.
- Ensures that projects adhere to the company's safeguards and compliance standards by cooperating with Legal, Compliance and Information Security departments. Perform or support regular audits of project processes and documentation.
- Develop and maintain a resource capacity management plan.
